This Sarawak Escapade package is designed for the active adventurer. As well as the three most popular tours – the orangutan, Cultural Village and Bako National Park tours – we have added the thrill of river kayaking and the adventure of the ancient Mulu Caves to create a mix of nature, culture and coastal beauty for your enjoyment.
Day 1 – Arrival
You will be met on arrival at the Kuching International Airport by an Amansar representative who will accompany you to your selected hotel and assist you with check-in.
The rest of the day you will be free to relax at the hotel or explore the Kuching waterfront at your leisure.
Day 2 – Semenggoh Wildlife Centre – Kayaking – Bidayuh Longhouse (B, L)
After breakfast at your hotel, you will depart for the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre where you will watch the morning orangutan feed in the jungle.
You will then proceed to the Semadang River for kayaking. It is a 45min drive to the village of Semadang at Padawan, a scenic area where the river kayaking is truly beautiful. Lunch will be provided after the kayaking.
On the return journey back to Kuching, you will stop to visit a Bidayuh Longhouse at Annah Rais. Check out our Annah Rais tour here. You will return to your hotel by early evening.
Day 3 – Bako National Park overnight (B, L, D)
This is nature at its best!! After breakfast at your hotel, you will check-out and depart for an overnight stay at the Bako National Park You can choose one of the hiking trails in collaboration with your guide. There is an interesting variety of wildlife to be seen at Bako in addition to the biodiversity of flora, and you will also join a night trek with one of the national Park guides.
Lunch and dinner are available at the Park cafeteria.
Day 4 – Damai Beach Resort for 2 nights (B)
After a leisurely breakfast at the Bako Cafeteria, you will check out and proceed to the Damai Beach Resort on the Santubong Peninsula. The journey will take round 45 minutes.
This will be a free day to enjoy the resort. You can relax for lunch and dinner at the resort or at the nearby Damai Central complex.
Day 5 – Sematan – Sarawak Cultural Village and evening Santubong Wildlife Cruise (B)
After breakfast at the resort, you will visit the Sarawak Cultural Village for a half day guided tour. Check out the Sarawak Cultural Village here.
Your afternoon will be free.
At 4pm you will be transferred to the nearby Santubong village for an evening river cruise. You will return to the resort for dinner.
Day 6 – Mulu – Show Caves (B)
After breakfast at the resort, you will check out and transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Mulu.

Day 7 – Mulu – Penan Settlement – Wind Cave and Clearwater Cave (B, L)
As per our 3D/2N Mulu tour package.
Day 8 – depart Mulu (B)
From Mulu you can fly on to your next destination! We will transfer you to the airport.
