Matang Wildlife Centre

Matang Wildlife Centre

The Matang Wildlife Centre is situated at the foot of Mount Serapi, 40km from Kuching and is part of the Kubah National Park. It is a primary wildlife rehabilitation facility that plays an important role in caring for rescued orangutan and sun bears in particular, but is also home to other rare and endangered wildlife that are unique to Borneo and that you won’t see elsewhere. On the Animal Enclosure Trail you can see the extremely rare false gharial, binturong, clouded leopard and rare birds. Follow the Special Trail for excellent sightings of pitcher plants.
