Semenggoh Wildlife Centre
Semenggoh is a 6.8 square kilometer Nature Reserve established as a secondary rehabilitation centre, where rescued and/or orphaned orangutan and their offspring are free to roam the jungle. This tour provides a unique opportunity to watch these endangered animals as they come out of their natural habitat, swinging down gracefully through the jungle canopies to feed on fruit, and their playful antics are mesmerising to watch. The viewing platform is in the rainforest not far from the Park HQ, and the Park Rangers monitor all visitors and give an important safety briefing.
There are both morning and afternoon feeds. Please note that it is not guaranteed that the orangutan will come out of the jungle for a feed, especially during the fruiting season when there is plenty for them to eat in the jungle.
Available with two departure times from your city hotel. Either 0800hrs for the morning session or 1330hrs for the afternoon session.
