Semenggoh is only 24 km from Kuching. It is a 6.8 square kilometer Nature Reserve established as a secondary rehabilitation centre, where rescued and/or orphaned orangutan and their offspring are free to roam the jungle. Semenggoh provides a unique opportunity to watch these endangered animals as they come out of their natural habitat, swinging down gracefully through the jungle canopies to feed on fruit, and their playful antics are mesmerising to watch. The viewing platform is in the rainforest not far from the Park HQ, and the Park Rangers monitor all visitors and give a safety briefing.
There are both morning and afternoon feeds.
